For the illustration you can just host them on a different site like Imgur then just put a shorten url of the image instead of posting it as an image. That’s what the YunS who are translating Konosuba is doing. And lable yours as a fanfic for further protection.

Thanks for the translation. Isn’t it is better to do it secretly and then post the whole volume. Considering your speed which is fast, I don’t think anyone will disagree Just show progress of translation on sidebar and remove the link if you are secretly translating it and it is safer and hard to detect method. It is a good idea to remove illustration to be on safe side. Thanks again for the translation.

Even though baka-tsuki got DMCA, the pdfs of the novels are available on mediafire (found with a simple google search) https://www.mediafire.com/folder/7f9562c7kcfi7/{series name here, edited out for mention prevention}, might be a way around even if you do get a DMCA.
