And sieges, think what 10 cannon can do to a wall, or if they are too small or there is a magic reason for the wall to be strong then think on what they can do if they angle the shots over the wall……

It is very hard to transport cannon inland cause of their weight. Its not like they have the luxury of pave road towards the enemy stronghold. A Cannon can easily sink while on transport. Unless they assemble them on the vicinity of the battle.

I was thinking in something smaller, either something like a mortar or the one sused in world war 1 and 2, or rather a mix of it sinc ei doubt even using magic they can copy modern technology. Also Bald can use smaller cannons with special munitions, just imagine what would happen if he manages to make white phosphorus or napalm bombs

To everyone saying it’s a cannon, lemme just say it looks lie the flamethrower. Not like a medieval navy hasn’t tried it before so there’s that.
Also, this world map is amazing. This continent, it’s damn bigger than I thought. I think I read in earlier vols that Antrim is some 320(?) km north of Cornelius, so the Nordland shores to the southern Trystovian peninsula tip is over 3000 km. If those grid are squares, then Answerer to Gartlake tip to tip is over 5000 km. Damn this continent is massive. Should be bigger than Europe, definitely smaller than Asia. Is it about Africa or S. America sized?
I was baffled how Baldr could cross the continent so quicklyt, but then I realize the novel is pretty vague and sparse about timeline and other time indicators, so i guess they get to slip away there.
